Arcade Fire Grammy Performance

Watch: 2011 Grammy Performances by Arcade Fire, Dr. Dre, Bob Dylan, & more

There’s no denying the power of the Grammys. For some 50-plus years, they’ve served as a premiere cultural event in the world of music, simultaneously standing as a celebration of music beloved by many and as patient zero for the ails of the music biz. Love them or hate them, though, there’s no getting around the fact that they continue to illicit tons of attention from industry insiders to couch cushion critics the world over. As in years past, we’ll spend our evening recapping the evening’s hit or miss performances from the likes of Lady Gaga to Bob Dylan (featuring The Avett Brothers and Mumford & Sons) to Eminem and Dr. Dre and beyond. Say what you will about the awards as a whole, but no other award show makes quite the buzz then the one with the golden gramophone.

Arcade Fire brought the heat to their 2011 Grammy Performance and it certainly paid off! The band’s The Suburbs won Album of the Year!

In their first Grammy performance ever, Arcade Fire performed “Month of May” on Sunday night, according to the Long Island Press.

During the performance, bikers performed tricks on stage and had cameras attached to their helmets.

After their acceptance speech for Album of the Year, Arcade Fire took the stage again to perform one last song of the night!
